The Dallas Stars Youth Hockey League season came to an exciting conclusion on Saturday April 11th with league Championship games held in all nine divisions. The Dallas Stars would like to congratulate all of the champions as well as every participant who helped make this season our best ever. Look for information next month about our exciting fall/winter program for 2009-2010, including all new NHL style jerseys, league games at the American Airlines Center and much more. Thank you!!

It may have been a long time coming, but Friday afternoon, the official ground-breaking ceremony took place at the site of the newest addition to the stable of Dr Pepper StarCenter facilities, at Craig Ranch in McKinney.

On behalf of the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League and the Dallas Stars we would like to congratulate the Allen Eagles for winning the 2008-2009 USA Hockey Rocky Mountain District High School Hockey Championships. Allen defeated Idaho Meridian 1-0 in overtime to bring the championship banner back to Dallas."

The AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League is proud to announce its league awards for the 2008-2009 season. The League, now in its 13th season, began in 1997 with four teams and has grown to over 60 teams this season. The league has Gold and Silver divisions at both the Varsity and JV levels. League playoffs will begin on March 31. The Texas Cup State Championship will be held in Austin, April 17-19.
The winners of the 2008-09 League Awards are:
Offensive Player of the Year Ryan Mack from Jesuit College Preparatory School 23 games -- 21 goals and 34 assists for 55 points (2.39 points-per-game avg.)
Defensive Player of the year Will Leedy from Jesuit College Preparatory School 21 games -- 9 goals and 21 assists for 30 points (1.43 points-per-game avg.)
Goaltender of the Year Tony Girard from Frisco High School 2.82 GAA, .893 save pct., Record: 9-11
Coach of the Year Tim Madigan from Mansfield High School Record: 16-7. Mansfield is currently in 4th Place in the varsity Gold Division
Player of the Year and MVP Ryan Holloway from Allen High School 23 games -- 25 goals and 33 assists for 58 points (2.52 points-per-game avg.)
The Dallas Stars congratulate the winners and wish all of the teams good luck in the upcoming playoffs and State Tournament.
